Too busy to start financial planning

After I had published the post The urgent important approach to financial planning, the feedback I received from many  was that they just had no time to carry out the complicated task of financial planning. It is an enormous exercise. They said the had no time to do this. They were too busy!!
My only response to those who say that they are too busy to planning their financial future is quite direct and very simple. This excuse of being too busy just won't work.

Anyone saying “I am busy” is signaling a certain degree of incompetence (and lack of control of his life). Unless, of course he is lying to get rid of you and enjoy doing nothing. - Nassim Nicholas Taleb

I don't know the inner workings of the life of those who gave being busy the excuse to be unable to work on their personal financial plan. However, they certainly did convey to me in varying degrees a lack of control and the habit of procrastinating and doing nothing.

I hope we stay away from the being too busy excuse in all facets of our life.
